Privacy Policy
Last updated
KeepSite ("we", "us") builds and hosts websites for local businesses. KeepSite is a service of Red Mountain Services LLC. This policy covers keepsite.cc, the website previews we build, the texts and emails we send, and the sites we host for customers.
Questions or requests: email privacy@keepsite.cc or write to 212 W Troy St., Dothan, AL, 36303.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your business: the business you pick from the list, or what you type by hand: business name, what you do, city, business phone and up to three services.
- How to reach you: your first name, your role (owner, manager or other), and either your mobile number (when you check the text box) or your email address.
- What you send later: texts and emails you send us, change requests, domain details, logos, photos and customer reviews you upload, and the business details you confirm when you sign up.
- Payment: Stripe collects your card or wallet details on its own checkout page. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us your name, email, plan, amounts and whether a payment went through.
What we fetch from Google
When you pick your business, we ask Google Maps Platform for its public profile: name, address or service area, phone, hours, website, rating, reviews and photos. We use it to build and show your preview.
- We store only Google's place ID for your business. Everything else is fetched fresh each time your preview is shown and is not saved in our database.
- To write the first draft of your site, we send the business name, trade, city, rating, review count, up to five public reviews and a list of typical services to our AI provider (Anthropic). The words it writes are saved with placeholders in place of your business name and city.
What we collect automatically
- Your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the pages you view and when.
- How you found us: ad and campaign tags in the link (UTM tags), the TikTok click ID (ttclid) and TikTok's first-party cookie (_ttp).
- A record of your consent to texts: the time, the exact consent wording you saw, your IP address, browser and the page you were on.
- A security check from Cloudflare Turnstile that tells people from bots.
Quote requests on a customer's website
When you fill in the quote form on a website we host for a home service business, we pass your name, phone number and what you wrote to that business, so it can call you back. We also pass where your visit came from: the ad or campaign tags in the link, the website you came from and the page you landed on. We keep those tags in your browser tab only (session storage, no cookies) until you send the form. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we do not keep or send them. The business decides what to do with your request. We do not text or email you about it.
How we use it
- To build your preview, text or email you the link, and answer you.
- To set up, host and update your site if you become a customer, send you quote requests from your site and your monthly report, and handle billing.
- To measure which ads bring people to us (see the TikTok section below).
- To keep the service secure, stop abuse and keep costs in check (for example, limits on how many previews one connection can start).
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping consent and tax records.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
TikTok Pixel and Events API
We run TikTok ads. To learn which ads work, our site uses the TikTok Pixel and our server sends events to the TikTok Events API. The events are: viewing this site or a preview, tapping a button to start a preview, submitting your contact details (Lead), opening checkout and completing a purchase.
With those events TikTok receives: a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) version of your email address if you gave us one, a scrambled ID we make for your preview so TikTok can tell your events belong together without knowing who you are, the TikTok click ID and _ttp cookie, your IP address and user agent, the page address, and for purchases the amount paid. We never send your phone number to TikTok, scrambled or not. TikTok uses this under its own privacy policy.
Under some state laws, including California's, this can count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can turn it off:
- Use Your privacy choices at the bottom of any page on keepsite.cc. It sets a cookie that stops the TikTok Pixel and our server-side TikTok events for that browser.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as the same opt-out, with no extra step.
Text messages (SMS)
We text you only if you check the box that says so, and the box starts unchecked. Leave it unchecked and we email your link instead. Texting is not required to see a preview or to buy. Message frequency, costs, STOP and HELP are in our SMS Terms.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We keep a record of each opt-in and opt-out, as carriers and the law require.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with companies that run parts of the service for us, under contracts that limit what they may do with it, plus TikTok as described above, and when the law requires it.
- Supabase: our database and sign-in for our staff and customers.
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and the Turnstile bot check. Turnstile is covered by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- Quo (formerly OpenPhone) and Twilio: sending and receiving text messages.
- Resend: sending email.
- Stripe: payments, receipts and the billing portal. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Anthropic: AI that drafts the words on your site and helps us sort and answer messages.
- Google Maps Platform: your business profile, reviews and photos on your preview. Google handles that data under the Google Privacy Policy.
- TikTok: ad measurement, as described above.
If Red Mountain Services LLC is sold or merges, customer records may move with the business under this policy.
How long we keep it
- People who don't become customers: we delete your name, phone, email and business details 180 days after you started your preview. We keep counts and other records that no longer identify you.
- Consent records: we keep a record of each text opt-in and opt-out (a hashed phone number, time, consent wording, IP address and browser) for 5 years, even after we delete the rest, to show we had permission.
- Customers: for as long as you are a customer. After your plan ends we keep your site content for at least 90 days so you can come back or buy it out, then delete it. Billing and tax records are kept as long as tax rules require.
- Google Maps content: not stored, so there is nothing to delete beyond the place ID, which goes with your other records.
Your choices and rights
- Texts: reply STOP to any text to stop them. Reply START to opt back in.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Ad tracking: use Your privacy choices, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
- See, correct or delete your information: email privacy@keepsite.cc from the email address or with the phone number you gave us. We confirm the request comes from you before acting, and answer within 45 days. We keep consent records and anything else the law requires us to keep, and tell you when we do.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you can ask to know what personal information we collect, use and share; ask us to delete or correct it; and opt out of the "sharing" described in the TikTok section. We do not sell personal information for money and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer things about you. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission. Residents of other states with similar privacy laws can make the same requests the same way.
Security
Traffic to keepsite.cc is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to customer data is limited to the people who run the service and is protected with multi-factor sign-in. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
KeepSite is a service for business owners. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email or text before it takes effect.
